I've been away.

Hello everyone. As many of you have noticed I have been missing in action the last few weeks. There's a real good reason for that.
On the morning of May 13 I went to the hospital with an issue that presented itself as not good. After some tests that included blood-work, ultrasound and CAT scans it was found that I had a fairly large tumor on my right kidney.
Saturday afternoon I had an operation and they removed said kidney.
I stayed in the hospital until Thursday the 20th.

I don't know exactly what the next steps are but I have a follow up with the surgeon on June the 10th. There may be other things that I have to deal with going forward but we'll take those as they come. The first priority was to get rid of the diseased kidney.

The tumor was encapsulated, meaning not spread around. Until the biopsy results are in I'm not going to guess the seriousness of this.

When I find out more I'll be sure to share that with you.

We have really missed you. Take care and do what is required to get well. When able, do whatever makes you happy. It helps the healing process. Great to hear you are out of the hospital so Susan can let the dog visit. Dog lick helps the healing process too.

Damn, Rick, some of us thought it was something we said, Knowing what i know now, i wish it had been something we said as that has no physical effects and consequences. Ya just get over it or ya shoot the perp in the back, laugh and call it a day, lol. your health means more to us than anything else so get yourself healthy and know that we are all thinking and praying for you and hope to hear your voice on ts soon to tell us how you are doing.

It is very important the tumor was encapsulated because it should not spread.
Also, tumor could have been removed entierly with that kidney.

In addition to the treatment that you'll probably receive, have a perfect lifestyle: no drinking, no smoking and healthy food to be as strong as possible.
