I've been away.
Hello everyone. As many of you have noticed I have been missing in action the last few weeks. There's a real good reason for that.
On the morning of May 13 I went to the hospital with an issue that presented itself as not good. After some tests that included blood-work, ultrasound and CAT scans it was found that I had a fairly large tumor on my right kidney.
Saturday afternoon I had an operation and they removed said kidney.
I stayed in the hospital until Thursday the 20th.
I don't know exactly what the next steps are but I have a follow up with the surgeon on June the 10th. There may be other things that I have to deal with going forward but we'll take those as they come. The first priority was to get rid of the diseased kidney.
The tumor was encapsulated, meaning not spread around. Until the biopsy results are in I'm not going to guess the seriousness of this.
When I find out more I'll be sure to share that with you.
